We decided to remove the dB figures from the 2004 and subsequent catalogs because this industry's credibility on this issue is unreliable. Putting honest sound levels in print, as we've done for 10 years as Gemtech, and years prior as the original AWC, does nothing but set the company up for someone unscrupulous to use our numbers as a starting point for their fabrications. There's no reason pinning yourself down to an honest result when less scrupulous or less equipped/educated manufacturers simply fabricate data to say they are 1dB quieter. Someone will just believe it because it they read it on the internet.

Gemtech has available testing facilities that permit accurate MIL-STD-1474D data collection. Gemtech also provides confidential competitive testing with supplied product for competitors in the industry and to government clients.
